American Standard Version
If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.

Amplified® Bible
If we who are [abiding] in Christ have hope only in this life {and} that is all, then we are of all people most miserable {and} to be pitied.

Darby English Version
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are [the] most miserable of all men.

International Standard Version
If we have set our hopes on Christ in this life only, we deserve more pity than any other people.

King James Version
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

Young's Literal Translation
if in this life we have hope in Christ only, of all men we are most to be pitied.
