John Ritenbaugh, acknowledging that our government is doing things that carnal governments always do, suggests that America's demise is occuring rapidly. Faith is diminishing and immorality is increasing. Carnal governments, because they do not believe that God is sovereign, seek total control of people's lives. Americans are moving into a position where the citizenry can be persecuted. The Constitution is being systematically destroyed while reprobate activist judges legislate from the bench. Virtually all the news is energy depleting, very good at producing revolution. The overwhelming depressing news has to be counterbalanced by edifying news, namely God's Word. The scripture, with its life-giving words, is written so we do not get depressed.
