American Standard Version
But his flesh upon him hath pain, And his soul within him mourneth.

Amplified® Bible
But his body [lamenting its decay in the grave] shall grieve over him, and his soul shall mourn [over the body of clay which it once enlivened].

Darby English Version
But his flesh hath pain for himself alone, and his soul mourneth for himself.

King James Version
But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.

Revised Standard Version
He feels only the pain of his own body, and he mourns only for himself."

Young's Literal Translation
Only -- his flesh for him is pained, And his soul for him doth mourn.'
