And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

Moses told this to the Israelites, but they refused to listen to Moses because of their impatience {and} anguish of spirit and because of their cruel bondage.

And Moses spoke thus to the children of Israel; but they did not listen to Moses from anguish of spirit, and from hard service.

And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

Moses spoke thus to the people of Israel; but they did not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and their cruel bondage.
