The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them; But the treacherous shall be taken in their own iniquity.

Amplified® Bible
The righteousness of the upright [their rectitude in every area and relation] shall deliver them, but the treacherous shall be taken in their own iniquity {and} greedy desire.

Darby English Version
The righteousness of the upright delivereth them; but the treacherous are taken in their own craving.

King James Version
The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

Revised Standard Version
The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the treacherous are taken captive by their lust.

Young's Literal Translation
The righteousness of the upright delivereth them, And in mischief the treacherous are captured.
