The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge; But the mouth of fools feedeth on folly.

Amplified® Bible
The mind of him who has understanding seeks knowledge and inquires after {and} craves it, but the mouth of the [self-confident] fool feeds on folly.

Darby English Version
The heart of an intelligent [man] seeketh knowledge; but the mouth of the foolish feedeth on folly.

King James Version
The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.

Revised Standard Version
The mind of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly.

Young's Literal Translation
The heart of the intelligent seeketh knowledge, And the mouth of fools enjoyeth folly.
