Matthew 5:19

Matthew 5:19 Shall break one of the least of these least commandments. The Pharisees taught that some commands were more important than others, and that it was a trivial matter to break the smallest commands. The papists still divide sin into "mortal" and "venial". Christ shows that the spirit of obedience does not seek to make such distinction. Shall be called the least. He may get into the kingdom, possibly, but such a spirit will give him a very low spiritual rank.
