Woe unto the world because of occasions of stumbling! for it must needs be that the occasions come; but woe to that man through whom the occasion cometh!

Amplified® Bible
Woe to the world for such temptations to sin {and} influences to do wrong! It is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the person on whose account {or} by whom the temptation comes!

Darby English Version
Woe to the world because of offences! For it must needs be that offences come; yet woe to that man by whom the offence comes!

International Standard Version
How terrible it will be for the world because it causes people to sin! Temptations to sin are bound to happen, but how terrible it will be for that person who causes someone to sin!

King James Version
Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
