Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me.

Amplified® Bible
Then He said to them, My soul is very sad {and} deeply grieved, so that I am almost dying of sorrow. Stay here and keep awake {and} keep watch with Me.

Darby English Version
Then he says to them, My soul is very sorrowful even unto death; remain here and watch with me.

International Standard Version
Then he said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Wait here and stay awake with me."

King James Version
Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

Young's Literal Translation
then saith he to them, `Exceedingly sorrowful is my soul -- unto death; abide ye here, and watch with me.'
