But ye `shall' not `be' so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.

Amplified® Bible
But this is not to be so with you; on the contrary, let him who is the greatest among you become like the youngest, and him who is the chief {and} leader like one who serves.

Darby English Version
But *ye* [shall] not [be] thus; but let the greater among you be as the younger, and the leader as he that serves.

International Standard Version
But you are not to do so. On the contrary, the greatest among you should become like the youngest, and the one who leads should become like the one who serves.

King James Version
But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.

Young's Literal Translation
but ye `are' not so, but he who is greater among you -- let him be as the younger; and he who is leading, as he who is ministering;
