but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not; and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, establish thy brethren.

But I have prayed especially for you [Peter], that your [own] faith may not fail; and when you yourself have turned again, strengthen {and} establish your brethren.

Darby English Version
but *I* have besought for thee that thy faith fail not; and *thou*, when once thou hast been restored, confirm thy brethren.

International Standard Version
but I have prayed for you that your own faith may not fail. When you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers."

King James Version
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Young's Literal Translation
and I besought for thee, that thy faith may not fail; and thou, when thou didst turn, strengthen thy brethren.'
