American Standard Version
And for this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath.

Amplified® Bible
For this reason the Jews began to persecute (annoy, torment) Jesus {and sought to kill Him,} because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.

Darby English Version
And for this the Jews persecuted Jesus [and sought to kill him], because he had done these things on sabbath.

International Standard Version
So the Jews began persecuting Jesus because he kept doing such things on the Sabbath.

King James Version
And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

Young's Literal Translation
and because of this were the Jews persecuting Jesus, and seeking to kill him, because these things he was doing on a sabbath.
