But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said unto them, Doth this cause you to stumble?

But Jesus, knowing within Himself that His disciples were complaining {and} protesting {and} grumbling about it, said to them: Is this a stumbling block {and} an offense to you? [Does this upset and displease and shock and scandalize you?]

But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples murmur concerning this, said to them, Does this offend you?

International Standard Version
But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, said to them, "Does this offend you?

King James Version
When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

Young's Literal Translation
And Jesus having known in himself that his disciples are murmuring about this, said to them, `Doth this stumble you?
