But when his brethren were gone up unto the feast, then went he also up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.

But afterward, when His brothers had gone up to the Feast, He went up also, not publicly [not with a caravan], but by Himself quietly {and} as if He did not wish to be observed.

But when his brethren had gone up, then he himself also went up to the feast, not openly, but as in secret.

But after his brothers had gone up to the festival, he went up himself, not openly but, as it were, in secret.
