So when Jesus arrived, He found that he [Lazarus] had already been in the tomb four days.

When Jesus arrived, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.

Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.

Young's Literal Translation
Jesus, therefore, having come, found him having been four days already in the tomb.
