Shouldest take (arhv). First aorist active subjunctive of airw (liquid verb).
From the evil one (ek tou ponhrou). Ablative case with ek, but can mean the evil man, Satan, or the evil deed. See same ambiguity in Matthew 6:13. But in 1 John 5:18 o ponhrov is masculine (the evil one). Cf. Revelation 3:10.
