Acts 28:24

Some believed (oi men epeiqonto). Imperfect passive indicative of peiqw. More exactly, "some began to be persuaded" (inchoative).

Some disbelieved (oi de hpistoun). Imperfect active of apistew, to disbelieve, continued to disbelieve. It is usually so.
