American Standard Version
For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:

Amplified® Bible
Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].

Darby English Version
For the mind of the flesh [is] death; but the mind of the Spirit life and peace.

International Standard Version
To set our minds on the flesh leads to death, but to set our minds on the Spirit leads to life and peace.

King James Version
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Young's Literal Translation
for the mind of the flesh `is' death, and the mind of the Spirit -- life and peace;
