American Standard Version
But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.

Amplified® Bible
Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize {and} comprehend {and} appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.

Darby English Version
But *we* have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which [is] of God, that we may know the things which have been freely given to us of God:

International Standard Version
Now, we have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who comes from God, so that we can understand the things that were freely given to us by God.

King James Version
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Young's Literal Translation
And we the spirit of the world did not receive, but the Spirit that `is' of God, that we may know the things conferred by God on us,
