American Standard Version
Howbeit with most of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Amplified® Bible
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with the great majority of them, for they were overthrown {and} strewn down along [the ground] in the wilderness.

Darby English Version
yet God was not pleased with the most of them, for they were strewed in the desert.

International Standard Version
But God wasn't pleased with most of them, and so they were struck down in the wilderness.

King James Version
But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Young's Literal Translation
