Sufficient to such a one is this punishment which was `inflicted' by the many;

For such a one this censure by the majority [which he has received is] sufficient [punishment].

Sufficient to such a one [is] this rebuke which [has been inflicted] by the many;

This punishment by the majority is severe enough for such a man.
