For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;

For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing {and} producing {and} achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!],

For our momentary [and] light affliction works for us in surpassing measure an eternal weight of glory;

This light, temporary nature of our suffering is producing for us an eternal weight of glory, far beyond any comparison,
