withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil `one'.

Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].

besides all [these], having taken the shield of faith with which ye will be able to quench all the inflamed darts of the wicked one.

In addition to all of these, having taken up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to put out all the flaming arrows of the evil one,
