I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.

I desire therefore that in every place men should pray, without anger {or} quarreling {or} resentment or doubt [in their minds], lifting up holy hands.

I will therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up pious hands, without wrath or reasoning.

Therefore, I want the men to offer prayers in every place, lifting up holy hands without being angry or argumentative.
