For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

For you have need of steadfast patience {and} endurance, so that you may perform {and} fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive {and} carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.

Darby English Version
For ye have need of endurance in order that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

International Standard Version
For you need endurance, so that after you have done God's will you can receive what he has promised.

King James Version
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

for of patience ye have need, that the will of God having done, ye may receive the promise,
