Amplified® Bible
Because he preferred to share the oppression [suffer the hardships] {and} bear the shame of the people of God rather than to have the fleeting enjoyment of a sinful life.

Darby English Version
choosing rather to suffer affliction along with the people of God than to have [the] temporary pleasure of sin;

International Standard Version
because he preferred being mistreated with God's people to enjoying the pleasures of sin for a short time.

King James Version
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

Young's Literal Translation
