Wherefore (dio). As in 2 Peter 1:10, 2 Peter 1:12.
Give diligence (spoudasate). As in 2 Peter 1:10.
That ye may be found (eureqhnai). First aorist passive infinitive (cf. eureqhsetai in verse 2 Peter 3:10). For this use of euriskw about the end see 2 Corinthians 5:3; Philippians 3:9; 1 Peter 1:7.
Without spot and blameless (aspiloi kai amwmhtoi). Predicate nominative after eureqhnai. See 2 Peter 2:13 for position words spiloi kai mwmoi and 1 Peter 1:19 for amwmov (so Judges 1:24) kai aspilov (so James 1:27). Amwmhtov (old verbal of mwmaomai) only here in N.T. save some MSS. in Philippians 2:15.
