Revelation 16:19

Was divided into three parts (egeneto eiv tria merh). "Came into three parts" (ginomai again). In Revelation 11:3 a tenth part of the city fell. Babylon (Rome) is meant (Revelation 17:18).

Fell (epesan). Second aorist active indicative of piptw (-an form in place of -on).

Was remembered (emnhsqh). First aorist (prophetic) passive indicative of mimnhskw. Babylon (Rome) had not been overlooked. God was simply biding his time with Rome.

To give unto her (dounai auth). Second aorist active infinitive of didwmi, epexegetic use as in Revelation 11:18; Revelation 16:9.

The cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath (to pothrion tou oinou tou qumou thv orghv autou). "The cup of the wine of the wrath of his anger," using both qumov (boiling rage) and orgh (settled anger). See both in Jeremiah 30:24.
