The meaning of Carmi in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)

vine-dresser.

  • The last named of the four sons of Reuben (Genesis 46:9).

  • A descendant of Judah (I Chronicles 4:1). He is elsewhere (2:18) called Caleb (q.v.).

  • The son of Zimri, and the father of Achan (Joshua 7:1), "the troubler of Israel."
