Everlasting Possession
(From Forerunner Commentary)

Genesis 17:8  (Go to this verse :: Verse pop-up) In Genesis 17:8, God reiterates His promise to give land to Abraham's descendants as an everlasting possession. There is an important addition here. The possession of the land is connected with the covenant mentioned in verse 7, where God promises to be the God of Abraham's descendents.
